LANSING - The Michigan Liquor Control Commission has suspended Bobcat Bonnie's liquor license for its Lansing location. The suspension comes about a week after Bobcat Bonnie's Ferndale location closed and the State Journal reported that its owner owes more than $1.3 million in tax liens and faces allegations of writing bad checks to employees. The restaurant's license was suspended on June 9, said David Marvin, director of the executive services division for the Michigan Liquor Control Commission.

DELTA TWP. - Township officials reached a tentative agreement on June 5 with Eaton County to maintain police services for its more than 33,000 residents. The proposed deal comes at a steep cost to the township, and about a month after county voters rejected a 2-mill tax increase on May 6 for sheriff's deputies and road patrol, as well as animal control and other services.
