(WTAJ) – After waiting almost a year for her heart transplant, a second grader from Altoona is now back home, recovering and celebrating another chance at life. “It’s so nice just having my family back together and everybody here under the same roof again,” Abigail Gabriel, mother of Gwen Gabriel, said. “It’s been a long time coming, that’s for sure.”Gwen Gabriel recently turned 9 years old, but last month she reached another big milestone – receiving her second heart transplant.
