Alex Lifeson is considering hitting the road again, but it won’t be with his Rush bandmate, Geddy Lee. Rush said farewell back in 2015, and following drummer Neil Peart’s death in 2020, it became ever more apparent that they would not tour again. Aside from the odd charity gig or two – including one at the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert – both Lifeson and Lee have preferred to leave their memories just as they are.

Fender has introduced another iteration of its Player series with the Player II Modified range. The new collection is an expansion of its best-selling Player II series – which launched in 2024, and built upon the Player range it had previously released in 2018 – and sees select Player II models “souped up with performance-driven mods”, all right out of the box.
