Superman is a character who needs no introduction. The iconic superhero has had a prominent presence in pop culture for decades, with dozens of actors portraying the so-called Man of Steel on television and the big screen. This July, a new actor will be donning the red cape in director James Gunn’s Superman, the first film in the new DC Universe franchise. The Kryptonian superhero will be played by David Corenswet, known for his roles on the Netflix series The Politician and HBO’s We Own This City.

On April 15, Brandeis revealed information about a residence hall in the works. Construction is set to begin in June 2025 and is expected to be completed in Spring 2027, with students being allowed to live in the residence hall that summer. The residence hall will be built in the South Campus Residential Lot (X Lot). On April 24, it was announced that the X Lot would permanently close on June 24, with X Lot permit holders being moved to the J Lot.

I will graduate from Brandeis University in less than a month. Even typing that out feels weird. For four years, I was living my life at Brandeis, and a month from now, I will be living a completely new life. Even though people say that time flies when you are having a good time, my high school life feels so distant, like I have been at Brandeis longer than a fifth or so of my life. That may be partially due to the fact that my senior year of high school was entirely remote due to the pandemic.

On February 5, Republican Representative Mike Lawler of New York reintroduced the Antisemitism Awareness Act in the House. The bill seeks to assist Department of Education investigations of discrimination involving Jewish students by clearly defining what speech or action can be considered antisemitic. You may recall the original Antisemitism Awareness Act (AAA) was introduced on October 26, 2023, some two weeks after the events of October 7.
