The study, commissioned by Selam under the Connect for Culture Africa (CfCA) initiative, provides valuable insights into government funding of culture and identifies key stakeholders to enhance lobbying efforts for cultural development. Selam, the Swedish organisation behind CfCA, has a rich history dating back to 1997.

CELEBRATED songstress Pauline Gundidza, who made herself a name as part of the Mafriq urban grooves outfit, is riding high on her new song Terera Moyo. She has released its visuals. A love song taken off Purpose extended play (EP) list, Terera Moyo fuses amapiano, Afro-fusion, mbira spiced with urban elements. Just two weeks ago, Pauline released the video for the song Terera Moyo, which loosely translates to “listen to the heart”.

SELF-TAUGHT scriptwriter and film director Sean Jena (25) (pictured) is set to release his first film at the end of December. Titled I Hope, the movie speaks to crime, gangsterism, betrayal, corruption, early childhood parenting and drug and substance abuse. The Glen View-bred youth said he drew inspiration from lived experiences. “I wanted to tell a story that reflects the harsh realities of life in the ghetto,” Jena told NewsDay Life & Style.
