However, their luggage revealed heat-sealed bags that Whalley initially claimed she believed contained luxury watches but was found to contain cannabis.

A nurse who was caught attempting to smuggle cannabis into the UK faces being struck off. Levi Whalley told Border Force officials she had been on a shopping trip to New York with her pal Sophie Bannister in December 2023 - but the 30-year-olds' suitcases told a very different story. As they tried to make their way through Birmingham International Airport, their bags were checked and found to be carrying heat sealed bags.
