TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said a man was drunk when he caused a crash that killed someone on April 20. The crash happened that evening at the intersection of Sheldon Road and Gunn Highway in Citrus Park. One person was killed in the crash and two others were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

LAKE ALFRED, Fla. (WFLA) — A Polk County detention deputy was accused of touching a teenage girl inappropriately. Adrian Felix, 24, of Lake Alfred resigned from his position upon his arrest, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said. Felix told a deputy he touched a 14-year-old girl inappropriately and wanted to turn himself in on Tuesday, according to a release from the sheriff’s office. He declined to speak to a special victims detective.
