Hello, Gorgeous!While things seem to have slowed down in much of the (corporate) world, my week was a bit chaotic. Related/unrelated, I’m very slowly and patiently trying to declutter in a big way. I’m also trying to create more of a peaceful oasis in my bedroom which at this point can double as an art gallery/craft storage unit. For that reason, the weekend roundup will be things that make you feel cozier. Every year Pantone picks a color to set the stage for the year ahead.

Hello, Gorgeous! and Happy New Year!I’d like to say that my night was mellow, but between the incessant fireworks and thunder and lightning reminiscent of Poltergeist, it was nearly impossible to simply chill. And yet chill I did. Before the holiday break I presented at a serious in-person meeting, dressed in a way that behooved a serious in-person meeting. I also wore gold sequined boots, which garnered an equal amount of compliments and modified side eye.

Hello, Gorgeous!Whether you’re packing up to head out before the holidays or want to refresh your scent during the day, it’s impractical to take a great big bottle of perfume with you. Mini perfume samples seem like a great option, at least some of the time. I don’t love the idea of not having the comforting scent of my usual perfume when I’m in a new setting. For me, perfume is aromatherapy. And I try to always be sensitive to the fact that everyone around me might not love my signature scent.
