The Central Consumer Protection Authority (for short, ‘CCPA’) is once again in the news for issuing notices to quick commerce platforms such as Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, Zepto among others. According to media sources, the notices primarily allege violation of the Legal Metrology Act, 2009 as these platforms allegedly failed to display the required information about products on their apps.
