In a cohort of 100 hospitalised patients with COVID-19 from Kashmir, India, cytokine profiling was carried out and correlated (by univariate and multivariate analysis) with COVID-19 severity and outcome. 3. The authors found ‘IL-6, IL10, vascular endothelial growth factor, and IL-8’ as particularly significant inflammatory cytokines of prognostic and predictive relevance.
