India has imposed limits on wheat stocks that traders can hold, the government said in a notification published on Wednesday, to help boost the grain's availability and moderate prices. Traders can hold 3,000 metric tons of wheat, while retailers can stock up to 10 tons of wheat, the notification said.

Soybean is India’s main summer-sown oilseed crop and lower output will force the world’s biggest importer of edible oils to increase overseas buying of palm oil, soyoil and sunflower oil.
