    On Thursday, April 10, 2025, Princeton University Concerts presented Saxophonist Jess Gillam and Pianist Thomas Weaver as the final presentation of its current season. Both artists are astonishingly young, both in their 20s, it would appear, yet both have complex careers and fame. Jess has appeared on the BBC, and at London’s Proms Concerts, as well as at the great concert halls of the world. She has appeared with symphony orchestras both here and abroad. She has several recordings to her credit.

    Pianist Mitsuko Uchida appeared at the Perelman Theater in Philadelphia on Friday, April 4, 2025, presented by the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society (PCMS). By all standards, it was a brilliant evening. Before the recital, there was a Pre-concert Conversation by Jeffrey Kallberg in the Comcast Center, an intimate forum in the Kimmel Center. Dr. Kallberg spoke in great detail, and with great affection about, the Beethoven and Schubert.

    Legacy of Light by Karen Zacarias is now on stage at the Matthews Theatre at the McCarter Theatre Center in Princeton, New Jersey, until April 6, 2025. Legacy of Light was last seen locally at People’s Light in 2010. It was first presented at the Arena Stage in Washington, D.C., in 2009. The plot is encircled by the lives of two women, both scientists, one of whom is Lady Emilie du Chatelet (Lenne Klingaman) in the 18th century, and Olivia (Kimberly Chatterjee), a physicist in the 21st century.

    On Friday, March 28, 2025, the McCarter Theatre Center hosted the renowned Lady Celestina as hostess for Pride Night at the West Lobby of the Matthews Theatre in Princeton,  New Jersey. Signature cocktails were on sale, drag reigned, with startling performances that could not be stopped, while patrons gladly handed dollars, fives, even twenty dollar bills to Lady Celestina as she danced, sang, and charmed those who were local, and as far away as Kansas, who came to celebrate that evening.

    The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (CMSLC) presented a livestream dual recital as part of its Art of the Recital series on March 20, 2025. Live from the Rose Studio at New York’s Lincoln Center, violinist Kristen Lee and pianist Michael Stephen Brown presented a program of their favorite works for the sold-out audience, and for the livestreamed listeners and viewers. Kristen Lee spoke to the audience to introduce them to the basic facts she and her pianist friend used for the event.
