    While Mount Pleasant isn't exactly a hotbed for car theft, a local homeowner woke up to the unsettling experience of finding his car missing on June 2 along Erckmann Drive. Upon contacting Mount Pleasant police, the owner of a white 2024 Toyota Rav4 reported that he had left the vehicle in his front yard the previous night. He later noted that someone in his family may have left a car key fob in the glove compartment.

    The curious case of a missing boat also involved a motor and trailer that were believed to be stolen on the night of May 30 along a grassy area near Harborgate Drive and West Coleman Boulevard. The owner of the items informed Mount Pleasant police that the last time he saw his personal belongings was at 7 p.m. The trailer reportedly had a hitch lock attached to it that wasn't found at the scene. The boat was a 2011 Key West 166CC, while the motor was a 2010 Yamaha F7OLA, according to police.

I used to think Twitter X was a great place to share your thoughts. However, more and more, I see posts about "Who's the best QB from these 4?" or "Who's the best TV dad?" It's become a very stale and uninspiring environment.
