    Netflix will unveil the second season of DreamWorks TV’s CG-animated preschool series Mighty Monsterwheelies on May 5. This homage to the Universal Monster vault will offer more action-packed hijinks and rescue missions in their home of Motorvania. The voice cast includes Tru Valentino, Grace Lu, Sandra Saad, Cal Brady, Matt Lowe, Chester Rushing, Weird Al Yankovic, Sean Astin and Ashley Park.

    Sony announced today it will release Mamoru Hosoda’s much-anticipated new movie, Scarlet, in U.S. theaters on Dec. 12 this year. The studio also revealed the striking new poster for the movie, which centers on a brave princess who transcends space and time. Sony Pictures is also co-financing the new film with Studio Chizu and Nippon TV. The film’s producers are Yuichiro Saito and Nozomu Takahashi for Studio Chizu and Toshimi Tanio for Nippon TV.

    French movie sales company Charades has taken on director Tomohiko Ito’s new animated feature The Keeper of the Camphor Tree. Produced by Japanese studio Aniplex, the movie is based on Keigo Higashino’s best-selling novel, the first animated adaptation of the popular author’s work. The film’s animation will be produced by Aniplex’s subsidiary, A-1 Pictures. The film is scheduled to be released in Japan in 2026.
