What is already known People with severe mental illness are more likely to have type 2 diabetes. We need high-quality trials of self-management interventions in this population and a consensus on what outcomes should be prioritised. What has this study found This study developed a core outcome set for self-management interventions for people with co-existing type 2 diabetes and severe mental illness.
