Kathy Bates' brassy attorney might go by the moniker Madeline Matlock, but it's just an alias born from the character's love of the show. Matty's character is a creation all her own.

War is hell — and Warfare does its damnedest to honor that old maxim. When he began working on Warfare, Alex Garland, the acclaimed writer and director behind movies like Ex Machina and Annihilation, told Entertainment Weekly he sought to make an "ultra-realistic, forensically accurate movie about combat." Seeing River’s Edge at @musicboxtheatre in an hour and just remembered that this was my Facebook banner for like a decade lol https://t.co/O0RW9UTwgN

I want to like this show more but it’s so fawning and reverent to its guest stars. I long for the misanthropy of EXTRAS.

THE STUDIO is essentially THE PLAYER (good) + BIRDMAN (bad) + Seth Rogen (good enough), which averages out to being pretty solid.
