One of the top aides to Defense Department Secretary Pete Hegseth was reportedly escorted from the Pentagon Tuesday after being identified during an investigation into leaks at the DOD. Dan Caldwell was placed on administrative leave for “an unauthorized disclosure,” a U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Reuters. “The investigation remains ongoing,” the official said without providing details about whether the alleged disclosure was to a journalist or to someone else.

President Donald Trump signed a memorandum on Tuesday ending Social Security benefits to illegal immigrants. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters ahead of the signing that the directive will be “aimed at stopping illegal aliens and other ineligible people from obtaining Social Security Act benefits.”Additionally, Leavitt said the memo calls for the expansion of the federal government’s Social Security fraud prosecutor program across the country.

Vice President J.D. Vance exhibited a sense of humor after an embarrassing moment Monday in front of the national champion Ohio State Buckeyes football team. The team had been invited to the White House to celebrate their win in the NCAA college football championship over Notre Dame in January. Vance, who is an Ohio State University alum, took the stage and tried to pick up the championship trophy, but the base separated from the top and fell to the ground, making for a very awkward situation.
