Language includes words and terms that have defined meanings. Those meanings exist for a reason… clear communication among the people speaking that language. Seems silly to have to blatantly say that, but as some people in our society redefine words to move their agenda forward and our education system fails to actually educate, it must be said. We must look beyond the words and understand the meaning.

Recently, I reviewed some of the emotion and energy-related modalities, and the issue of the placebo and nocebo effects are really closely related to this exploration. We all know what a placebo is, a sugar pill, or a saline injection as a control on the effectiveness of a medication, and the patient does not know which is which, meaning that the patient depends solely on their positive expectations and the difference between the pills, if any, is valuable information.
