The Celtics got off to the perfect start in their Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Cavaliers, dominating from wire-to-wire in a 120-95 Game 1 win at TD Garden. Jaylen Brown was aggressive from the jump and had an efficient 32 points, while Derrick White hit seven 3-pointers to help Boston pull away in the second half despite a rough night from Jayson Tatum (18 points, 7-of-19 shooting). The Celtics closed out their first-round series against the Heat with a 118-84 win on Wednesday at TD Garden. They advance to face the winner of the series between the Magic and the Cavaliers (Cleveland leads, 3-2). Jaylen Brown led all scorers with 33 points; Jayson Tatum added 28.
