Bushmills Irish Whiskey just rolled out the second round of its Private Reserve Limited Release vintage single malt whiskey series. The new expressions will consist of four vintage single malts whiskeys, each aged in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks before maturing in a unique third cask. This includes two 10 year olds (finished in Amarone Casks and Moscatel Casks, respectively) and two 12 year old single malts (finished in Bordeaux Casks and Tequila Casks, respectively).

Like the New York club name 0f the same name, only a select few will get to try the Blue Note Bourbon Special Reserve Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Crafted in Memphis, the limited-release is a blend of 10 finished casks (cognac, madeira, sherry, port, triple sec, madeira, apricot brandy, amontillado, vanilla cognac and vino de Naranja) from Kentucky and Tennessee ranging in age from four to 19 years with varying mashbills. The new expression was bottled at 116.3 proof.

J. Rieger & Co. has announced the release of Rieger Straight Rye Whiskey, the latest addition to The Rieger Whiskey Collection, the distillery’s most popular artisanal series. Rieger Straight Rye Whiskey, which features a mashbill of96% rye and 4% malted barley, is 100% distilled, aged, and bottled at the Kansas City distillery. Made through Rieger’s signature sweet mash fermentation and two-step distillation process, Straight Rye is aged at least 4 years in 53-gallon white American barrels.
