    1 Introduction Climate change has become a worldwide concern, affecting agricultural production, mostly in developing countries (FAO 2015; Praveen and Sharma 2019). The geographical features of South Asian countries make them highly susceptible to natural catastrophes (Dewan 2015; Habib-ur-Rahman et al. 2022; Mirza 2011; Shrestha and Bokhtiar 2019). Specifically, Bangladesh stands as one of the most vulnerable countries to climatic events (Akter et al. 2022; Chaki et al. 2023; Dewan 2015).
