1. IntroductionBreast cancer is the most common cancer and one of the leading causes of cancer-related death [1]. The World Health Organization estimates that breast cancer accounted for 12% of all new cancers diagnosed worldwide in 2021 [2]. Several decades of intensive studies have led to impressive progress in early diagnosis and treatment. New drugs targeting many different pathways have been developed and tested in clinical trials.
