Harley Quinn #51 – Elliott Kalan, Writer; Mirka Andolfo, Artist; Triona Farrell, ColoristRay – 8.5/10Ray: Harley Quinn has been ambushed by femme fatale gunslingers Gunbunny and Mayfly, but she’s in the middle of a much more pitched battle – with herself. Her brain has decided to take control of the situation, hijacking Harley’s body and trying to make more rational decisions – but that half of Harley isn’t exactly all there either.

The Flash #21 – Simon Spurrier, Writer; Vasco Georgiev, Artist; Matt Herms, ColoristRay: “Dark Moon Rising”, the current Flash crossover, definitely continues the strange and surreal tone of this series under Simon Spurrier – but it also escalates that to a cosmic level, with Eclipso having taken over the moon and launched a massive war on reality. Metamorpho the Element Man #6 – Al Ewing, Writer; Steve Lieber, Artist; Lee Loughridge, ColoristRay: Al Ewing has always been a writer who does larger-than-life adventures, but none of his books have ever been as gleefully bizarre as this gonzo sci-fi tribute to the Silver Age. This is unfortunately the final issue (for now), but he’s saved the craziest for last.

Green Arrow #24 – Chris Condon, Writer; Montos, Artist; Adriano Lucas, ColoristRay: The Freshwater Killer was defeated last issue, which makes it surprising that there’s one issue to go – but then, the collective of sick, dying, and grieving people who made up the killers weren’t the actual villains of the arc. Horton Chemicals, the corporation that built homes on a toxic waste dump, is – and Green Arrow is determined they see justice as well.

Justice League Unlimited #7 – Mark Waid, Writer; Travis Moore, Artist; Tamra Bonvillain, ColoristRay: “We Are Yesterday” is reaching its final act, and it’s not looking good for the good guys. Inferno, better known as the Legion of Doom of yesterday, has invaded the present and used their time guns to scatter the Justice League across the timestream.
