Summer is just around the corner, and that's when my thoughts always trend towards the Jersey Shore. Of course, I'm not alone; this is when all the shore's best towns come alive. It's a fantastic place to go for attractions, sunbathing, boardwalk fun, and of course, fishing! Many shore towns have some incredible fishing spots, so finding one where you're not in direct competition with everyone else on the pier is worth its weight in gold.

New Hampshire is one of the smaller states in the United States, and that's part of what makes it such a charming spot to visit. Everything about the place feels quaint and relaxing, with even the biggest cities boasting lots of laid-back charm. It also means that if you're sticking to the state for your vacation, there's probably nowhere in the Granite State that you can't get to with relative ease.

As a '90s kid, the New Jersey of my youth often looked very different from how it looks today. I have fond memories of the restaurants, businesses, and attractions that have passed into Garden State history, but there was likely none that I spent more time exploring than Pyramid Books, a chain of used bookstores that seemed to be everywhere back then.

These days, I can usually be found traveling up and down the East Coast whenever the opportunity presents itself, with some longer sojourns planned in the years to come. When I travel, it's usually to find specific attractions I've always wanted to visit. I've made journeys to iconic buffets, massive malls packed with attractions, unique retro music halls, and of course, amusement parks.

Growing up in New Jersey meant New York City was right across the river, and it was a regular stop during my childhood and teen years. I went to college in the Empire State's biggest city, which allowed me to explore the city's extensive food, entertainment, and cultural scene. As a kid, I wasn't always into the latter—it was easy for me to get bored in many of the museums in the city—but there was one big exception: the American Museum of Natural History.
