The Nigerian Human Rights Community (NHRC), a coalition of human rights and community-based organisations, has lauded Ekiti State Governor Abiodun Oyebanji’s performance in office last year. In a statement after its annual general meeting in Lagos, the coalition of 130 civil society and community-based organisations named Oyebanji the ‘Governor of the Year 2024’. The group said the governor would be presented with a plague to encourage other governors to emulate him.
