1. IntroductionChikungunya (CHIKV) and Zika (ZIKV) viruses are global public health threats. Both were originally isolated in Africa, but since then, they have spread across the globe [1,2,3,4,5,6,7]. In 2014, CHIKV emerged in the Americas on the Island of Saint Martin, and the subsequent epidemic included over 50 territories and over 1 million cases [8,9].
