    Ireland’s Ancient East can often be overlooked, but with its close proximity and transport links to Dublin, in particular, it can be a nice and stress-free staycation destination. For this reason, we decided to leave the car at home and hop on the Drogheda-bound commuter train, which serves Pearse, Tara and Connolly stations in the city, as well as a number of suburbs in north Co Dublin.

    We're almost two weeks into the 40-Day Health Challenge, and Classic Hits Radio presenter Colm Hayes has been stepping up to the plate. Supported by health experts from Operation Transformation, the challenge is designed to motivate participants to focus on improving their physical health, mental wellbeing, and nutrition over 40 days. People of all ages and fitness levels can take part and Hayes is one of 16 participants this year.

    Tesco revealed the most popular items purchased by Irish shoppers last year – and TikTok may be the reason one is sitting in second place. The supermarket chain's Clubcard Unpacked 2024 Data was released on Friday and offered some insight into how we shopped over the last year. The top item purchased by Tesco shoppers in 2024 was – perhaps unsurprisingly – milk. Two-litre Tesco Fresh Milk topped the list, with the full-fat three-litre carton appearing at number five.
