If you were to write a history of new music in the UK over the past 60 years, the Nash Ensemble would surely deserve its own chapter. Across those decades the group has premiered more than 330 pieces which, with some rudimentary maths, suggests a rate of five a year. Here we had four world premieres, all commissions, in one fell swoop, turning this 60th-anniversary evening concert at Wigmore Hall into a feast of the new, performed with typical finesse.
