Glenn George says he will be forever grateful to Prem Venugopal, the heart surgeon who saved his son's life. Soon after Mr George's son Jonathan was born in Buderim he noticed his baby turning a sickly blue. Doctors told him he and Jonathan's mother were simply holding the child wrong, but despite following their advice their baby's health continued to deteriorate. Eventually Jonathan was airlifted to Brisbane Mater Hospital where he was diagnosed with a serious heart condition.

A Queensland water company has continued to charge water bills to residents of a mostly abandoned unit complex. Only one resident has lived in MiHi Grove since it was wrecked by floods in February 2022. Urban Utilities says residents can contact them for payment assistance options. Alannah Lewis-Stafford has not lived in her flood-ravaged home for over two years, but her water company has refused to stop billing her.

When ABC Radio Brisbane challenged its listeners to capture the wild inner beauty of Gardening Australia presenter Costa Georgiadis, more than 450 people rose to the occasion.
