ABSTRACTThis paper presents the findings of a mixed-method study exploring the self-reported negative impact on wellbeing of working in policing in England and Wales during the Covid-19 pandemic. For the first time, findings relating to the wellbeing of UK police and police staff are presented from two different points in time during the pandemic period – the initial ‘lockdown phase’ (March 2020) and Autumn 2021 as the UK began to return to pre-pandemic social behaviours.
