On Jan. 18, Several community groups are inviting the public to join them in Fremont for the Sandusky County People’s March and Advocacy Expo, an event uniting individuals and organizations committed to fostering democracy, justice and community action. Organizer Tammy Calhoun said that people can gather in front of the Sandusky County Courthouse at 10 a.m. for a speaker, music and then the walk — or go directly to the Advocacy Expo. "It's an organic group of women," she said.

CLYDE ― Monsters, "Dr. Seuss" characters, princesses and other costumed and made-up revelers paraded from Clyde Elementary School into downtown on Saturday afternoon. The Clyde Halloween Committee held its annual parade, with thousands of fans standing four or five deep in downtown. Scary good:Fremont and Clyde honor spookiest homes for HalloweenChildren in costumers walked and rode in the parade and even more stood along the streets with parents and grandparents.

As the 2024 Sandusky County Fair in Fremont sets up for Aug. 19 to 25, the Target Masters 4-H Club is planning a special fundraiser in honor of a 13-year-old club member who was killed earlier this summer. Connor Miller, 13, and his father Joe Miller, both of Vickery, and grandfather Richard Miller, Sandusky, all died July 11 in Seneca County in a tragic fatal accident. Their pickup in was hit by a cargo van that went through a stop sign at Ohio 18 and CR 24.
