Officials with the Federal Aviation Administration said they are investigating an incident with a red laser being shone at a Piedmont Triad International Airport flight crew.The FAA released the following statement to WXII regarding the incident:"The crew of Piedmont Airlines Flight 5827 reported being illuminated by a red laser approximately 12 miles from Piedmont Triad International Airport in North Carolina around 10 p.m. local time on Thursday, April 10. No injuries were reported.

The chancellor of Winston-Salem State University has issued a statement after an on-campus shooting. On Friday, officers said they were called to the university regarding the shooting inside a study room. The victim's family told WXII he was shot nine times and is recovering at a local hospital. On Monday, the Winston-Salem Police Department said they are looking for current student, 19-year-old Ja'lon Stallings in connection with the shooting.
