I was reported by someone who didn’t like my content and they just suspended me. I’m seething. After taking the last year and a half to build my content there, I’m thrown out without an explanation. I’ve written to appeal their decision but don’t know if they’ll ever reinstate me.

I usually check out companies on Google and then invite them to visit the premises to let me know how much work needs to be done. The thing is, when these smug white men show up, they usually think I’m the maid or babysitter and ask to meet the ‘real’ owners of the house.

I had moved to Substack last year, but the fact is, I miss Medium a lot. I felt that here, more people had access to my work. So, I’m coming back and plan to stay with fresh, new, thought-provoking content. I left for a good reason though — Medium started to censor my work.

They keep on showing us who they are over and over, we should believe themAya Nakamura, you might have never heard the name, but if you google her and type racism in France, you’ll come across some rather disturbing news. One that will leave you reeling and without a shadow of a doubt about the racism in France. I should know, I lived there for two years and was always astonished by how much in denial the French are vis à vis their own racism.
