Demolition has begun at Tortilla Jo’s after its closure at the Downtown Disney District. What’s Happening:Following its permanent closure last year, Tortilla Jo’s, located in the Downtown Disney District, is currently undergoing demolition. Here is the most recent progress as of April 2, 2025. Tortilla Jo’s permanently shut down in March 2024, and the Taqueria followed suit the following month. However, construction barriers were only installed around the building recently.

Guests visiting Cars Land at Disney California Adventure can commemorate their road trip to the Pixar-themed land with brand new merchandise. Vroom Vroom:During a recent trip to the Disneyland Resort, Laughing Place spotted some new Cars Land merchandise. Found at Sarge’s Surplus Hut at Disney California Adventure, the new clothing and accessories all pay homage to the fictional town of Radiator Springs from the Cars franchise.

The three-day adventure took us to Pasadena for VIP Rose Parade and Rose Bowl experiences that included a behind-the-scenes look at ESPN Studios in LA and on site at the Rose Bowl, a chance to chat with numerous ESPN personalities, an inside the ropes tour of the Rose Parade float building and an incredible New Years Eve at COSM LA including the Fiesta Bowl.

What’s Happening:The popular, long-running show for Disney’s youngest fans has permanently closed at Hollywood Land in Disney California Adventure after holding its last show yesterday, March 23rd. Disney says that a new show will be coming later this year, but has shared no additional details at this time.

What’s Happening:Disneyland Resort is currently testing a new self-checkout system at one of their popular quick service locations. At Disney California Adventure’s Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta, guests are currently being invited to try out the new system, which uses cameras to scan food items.

Some of the first merchandise for Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary has arrived at the Resort, with just around two months to go until the festivities kick off. What’s Happening:Beginning May 16th, 2025, the Disneyland Resort will invite guests to “Celebrate Happy" as they begin to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Disneyland. Current visitors to Disneyland can already get in the celebratory mood, as the first line of 70th anniversary merchandise has hit store shelves.
