    PLANT CITY, Fla. — A man was killed during a dispute at a gas station that escalated into a shooting early Friday morning. The Plant City Police Department said officers were called to a Speedlane Express on North County Line Road around 2:15 a.m. after reports about the shooting. When they arrived, they found the victim, who had been shot, on the ground near a vehicle. Officers attempted life-saving measures, but he died at the scene.

    ST. PETE BEACH, Fla. — A recent Powerball winner was arrested after officials said he kicked a deputy in the face during a fight at the TradeWinds Resort on St. Pete Beach. Around 11:09 p.m. on April 29, a Pinellas County Sheriff's Office deputy arrived at the hotel to break up a fight between 50-year-old James S. Farthing and another patron.

    TAMPA, Fla. — A major upgrade is coming to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay—a $40 million one, to be exact. The park announced on Wednesday that Wild Oasis at Jungala, its latest kid-friendly section, will debut in May. An interactive "adventure realm," Wild Oasis will feature an array of exotic animals, including capybaras, giant anteaters and squirrel monkeys. The new animals will arrive this spring, along with a climbing structure for a new troop of chimpanzees and an all-female Asian elephant herd.

    TAMPA, Fla. — A gas line rupture has closed parts of a Tampa street on Thursday. Tampa Fire Rescue said firefighters are currently at the scene on North Morgan Street and East 7th Avenue. TECO is also at the scene to assist during the incident. Officials said North Morgan is currently closed between East Henderson Street and East Palm Avenue. Drivers should find alternate routes.
