HAMILTON — Jordan Gilligo was happy to get another chance to be on the mound for Northern Burlington High, so he was going to do everything he could to help the Greyhounds keep their drive alive. For a high school baseball team, it’s a crazy streak. Northern Burlington’s pitchers now have not allowed a run in five consecutive games – spanning 31 straight innings.

In a year when most CVC hitters are not exactly lighting the world on fire, Siegel is – nearly at a Barry Bonds rate, where teams are going to have to decide whether to pitch to him or just put him on.

PENNINGTON — The way Asher DeLue was throwing Thursday, there were few teams that were going to make much happen against him. The 6-foot-3 junior left-handed pitcher at the Hun School who is already earmarked to attend Boston College when his high school career ends had his pitches registering between the mid-80s and low-90s (miles per hour) as he kept Pennington off balance in a Mid-Atlantic Prep League first-place battle at Heritage Field.

H.S. Boys' Soccer: The Trentonian's 2020 previews are supposed to appear in the paper Thursday, Oct. 1 and Friday, Oct. 2.

N.J. Little League Baseball: The Brick 12 Year Olds won Sunday's 2020 state final with an 8-3 win over Englewood Cliffs at Jackson's Holbrook LL. In the third-place game, Madison defeated Somers Point, 11-8.

N.J. Little League Softball: The Robbinsville 12 Year Olds won Sunday's 2020 state final with a 7-0 win over Little Ferry/South Hackensack/Bogota at Jackson's Holbrook LL. In the third-place game, Pennsville defeated Morristown National, 8-5.
