FILIPINOS' self-rated poverty and food poverty have declined sharply, while self-rated hunger remained unchanged in the first few months of this year, according to the latest survey conducted by OCTA Research. In its "Tugon ng Masa" survey conducted from April 10-16, 2025, 42 percent, or an estimated 11.1 million Filipino families, consider themselves as poor, an eight-percent drop from the 50 percent who said that they are poor in the survey conducted in November of last year.
