Barefoot, who won AAC Pitcher of the Year, got the start and win, pitching three shutout, one-hit innings, walking three and striking out three. North Texas (32-24) picked up one hit in the contest. WICHITA, Kansas — It only took six innings for UNT softball to advance to the American Athletic Conference semifinals on Thursday afternoon. North Texas (32-23) defeated East Carolina (39-19) 9-1, scoring five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to complete the victory.
