Last thing: I think it’s key to remember the Avs have a lot of positives coming back. It doesn’t make it any easier, but this wasn’t a normal first round loss. These were two of the top five teams in the NHL. Not sure what the answer is, but Dallas clearly has Avs’ number.

The Avs loss last night ranks as an all-timer in a dubious way for Denver sports, and the decision to trade Rantanen looks awful right now. I do think if MacFarland had any idea Carolina would spin him to Dallas, he wouldn’t have done it. Can’t undo it, but now what do Avs do?

I think this is Nate’s way of saying he wants changes at the top. I am a big Bednar fan, but I also think if one of the league’s best maters is asking for major changes, the Avs should listen.

He is correct. That was a huge factor as the momentum swing. Avs’ slow start to the season meant they didn’t have home ice. The Avs also missed chances to put the series away early, such as not scoring on a four minute power play in OT in game 3.

My hot take: The Avs would have a second Cup in this window if they had figured out how to keep Nazem Kadri. I do think he was the glue on that Cup team.

An all-timer loss, and I understand the knee jerk reactions calling for major changes. Maybe it is time to look at something different, but some of the comments on here are completely discounting a lot of success, including….a Cup. Dallas last won it all in 1999. Just saying.

Really the Avs just lost the Western Conference Finals in the first round. Doesn’t make it any better, but this sure wasn’t a normal 1st round series. I’m not sure that major changes are necessary here. That said, Bednar is now 0-4 against DeBeor in the playoffs.

How were these seats so close to the floor and in one block even available for him to purchase? Is there a rule I'm not aware of that seats need to be made available for the opposing team? Are they all season ticket holders. Something smells off about this in every way.

If folks at @NBAonTNT and @espn want to make themselves very popular in the Denver market, they should work together to separate the two game sevens on Saturday. Maybe even play one of them on Sunday instead. Don't schedule them simultaneously because it's "only Denver".
