Breakfast ruled for his gaggle of friends and that’s still true today as he looks to open his fourth Benedict’s Morning Heroes restaurant on July 1 in North Mankato, 1107 Range St. The others are in Fargo, Rochester and Wayzata. The menu revolves around eggs Benedict dishes, with eight signature entrees.

MANKATO — As mental health needs increase, traffic at the Blue Earth County Mental Health Center has been growing, according to center leadership. “We’re seeing it in so many of our programs,” said Angela Youngerberg, human services director of business operations of the Mental Health Center. “The need for services is increasing. There isn’t one driving factor, there’s many. People are seeking services, which is fantastic.

MANKATO — There will be an open house for the public 3-6 p.m. Thursday at Mayo Clinic Health System-Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at The Pond on Madison. The facility opened this past month and is neighbors with ETS Performance. Together they are providing area athletes and active adults with a wide spectrum of sports medicine care in one convenient location, according to a Mayo press release.

NORTH MANKATO — Four-year-old Olive Michaletz of Madison Lake loves to tell anybody and everybody that the “real” Elsa from the Disney movie “Frozen” came to her birthday party on May 18. It was actually Mollie Fischer of Once Upon A Party-Mankato masquerading as Elsa, but that’s not what Olive took to be true when Fischer appeared on her doorstep in her full Elsa getup, including a wig and dress that likened her enough to the princess to win over Olive.
