    Prosecutors have now dismissed charges against members of the Iron Range Chapter of the Hells Angels. The court document related to Jerand French said that the victims are either unable or unwilling to testify at trial, and the state cannot prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt without testimony from victims. French turned himself into authorities in December of 2023. He’d been accused of beating up a man and holding him inside the clubhouse in Eveleth in November.

    The Fill-a-Truck, Feed a Family Food and Fund Drive got off to a big start. Kemps donated a whole pallet of shelf stable milk, which totaled 1800 pounds. Money and food donations are heading to Second Harvest Northland. The drive is put on by the DSTA, the Duluth Superior Transportation Association. It runs Thursday through Saturday. Miner’s Inc. hosts at Twin Ports and Cloquet Super One locations, and the company is proud to be a partner. See more, on The Five!

The Lumipulse G pTau217/ß-Amyloid 1-42 Plasma Ratio is for the early detection of amyloid plaques associated with Alzheimer’s disease in adult patients, aged 55 years and older, exhibiting signs and symptoms of the disease.

    The school year has nearly wrapped up for Hibbing, and leaders are already looking ahead to next year. Last month, the Hibbing School Board unanimously approved a motion to pursue a referendum in the November to address a $2.6 million annual budget shortfall. During the meeting, board members identified the funding gap and discussed two potential levies to raise the necessary funds: an operating levy and a capital projects levy.

    Prosecutors have filed charges against a man for allegedly strangling a St. Louis County Sheriff’s deputy on Monday, May 26. Gideon Martin, age 37 of Duluth, now faces 5 charges, including one count of use of deadly force against a peace officer which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years.
