Few Canadians have seen a wild caribou. This Canadian emblem has been on a historical decline, but conservation efforts are attempting to change the fate of the species. BC is home to the Southern Mountain, Northern Mountain and Boreal caribou populations. But, all groups have declined, according to research on long-term historic population trends. Today, even many British Columbians living in the Cariboo regional district — a region previously abundant in caribou — have never seen a caribou.

Here’s what was in the latest report for the 2023/24 academic year. Who is UBC admitting? In the 2023/24 admission cycle, UBC reviewed just over 52,000 application for admission according to the report, a slight decrease from the 56,000 received during 2022/23 admission cycle.

Bhangu said she’s excited to “get back to work.” Eshana Bhangu and Kamil Kanji have been elected to UBC’s Board of Governors. Bhangu’s reelection campaign focused her track record as incumbent governor, AMS president and VP academic and university affairs. She promised to push for the implementation of the Student Affordability Task Force and focus her efforts on housing affordability. Bhangu said she’s excited to “get back to work” after her reelection.
