Two teenagers have been charged over an alleged home invasion and stabbing in Marrickville in Sydney’s inner west. Emergency services were called to a property on Frazer Street just before 5pm on Wednesday following reports of an aggravated break and enter. NSW Police said a group of about eight individuals, all wearing face coverings, allegedly forced their way into the home and assaulted a 16-year-old boy inside.

A young woman has died from critical injuries sustained after running through a glass door in what is believed to have been an attempt to escape domestic violence. According to Australian Femicide Watch, she is the third woman to be killed in the past 24 hours. Claire Austin, 38, had been on life support at St Vincent’s Hospital for three days after she was discovered on Saturday with severe injuries at her home in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. However, she succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday.
