England's asthma capitals can today be revealed in MailOnline's interactive map of every neighbourhood in the country. One in nine residents (11.3 per cent) of Mundesley, a village on Norfolk's coastline, are thought to have the illness – the highest rate in the whole nation. Armed with House of Commons Library figures, we plotted the asthma prevalence estimates for all 34,000 lower super output areas (LSOA) in England.

Dozens of areas of England and Wales have today been flagged as premature death hotspots. Blackpool South has the highest premature mortality rate, MailOnline analysis shows. For every 100,000 men living there, nearly 730 died last year before turning 75. Although that rate appears small, it is 3.4 times higher than in North East Hampshire (214.3 per 100,000) – the area of the country where men have the best chances of avoiding an early grave.

British mothers are now outnumbered by foreign-born mums at nearly one in seven maternity units, analysis shows. At Northwick Park Hospital, in the London's Harrow borough, a staggering 84.2 per cent of live births in 2023 were to non-UK mothers. Behind Northwick Park was Newham's University Hospital (77.1 per cent) Hillingdon Hospital (72.1 per cent) and North Middlesex Hospital (71.2 per cent).

Richmond-upon-Thames is the older mum capital of England and Wales, MailOnline can reveal today. In the affluent London borough, the majority of babies are now born to women over-35. Rates of ‘geriatric motherhood’ have trebled in dozens of authorities since the early 1990s. It reflects how women are increasingly choosing to put off having children until later in life in order to pursue a career. At the same time, figures show teenage pregnancies have slumped to all-time lows.
