When planning my Netherlands itineraryI decided to visit Utrecht because it has a long and interesting history, some architectural and archaeological attractions, and of course, canals like the country is known for. Utrecht is also a convenient central base for doing day trips to other towns. After figuring out what I wanted to see in the city, I decided that one day in Utrecht was enough to do everything I wanted.
