Well, the weather’s collapsed on us, but before it did we had a productive day yesterday. I did five interviews in the morning for various radio stations and then we caught the tube into the Soho district to meet up with Rich Fulcher for an afternoon podcast date. Steve and I got in there early so we had a look around and bought some comics from Forbidden Planet. I picked up issue 3 of Universal Monster comics The Mummy.

The 1st London show was epic, as to be expected at the mighty Ally Pally venue. A rather jet-lagged Bill Napier brought a bit of lighthearted confusion to the crowd before introducing a new guest to the show, newish Kiwi comic Becky Umbers. I think it's important to support the young acts coming through and so it was a pleasure having her funniness in the lineup.

Show no.1 under the belt and what a loose belt it was! Thank you Nottingham for turning up and making some wonderful Friday night noise. The Playhouse offered a fantastic vibe, even though the dressing room felt and looked like the interior of a Soviet mini submarine. Still suffering from jet lag, I took a while to build up the enthusiasm needed to be present for people but luckily Bill Napier was there to lead the way.

Did a podcast today in London. Can't say which one in case they're waiting to do a ‘reveal’ but oops I've already said too much but trust me, there's nothing fishy going on. Or is there? The weather continues to be charming here and the Old Man’s Walking Club is back in effect. I'll miss this lovely canal area behind St Pancakes but we do need to shuffle on. We're on the train to Nottingham today as it's our first show of the tour tonight.

Well, I arrived in London! Deposited near St Pancras and Kings Cross. I like this part of town as there's some real vibrant new goings-on behind the stations across the canal. I'm talking Granary Square and by the old Coal Drops Yard. Plenty of pubs and cafes and cocktail bars, plus the canal walks and the canal boats and ice cream! The weather was fine and folks were out doing their thing. A lot of their thing is just sitting nicely and enjoying the atmosphere.
