The Sports Authority of India (SAI) began its preparation for Olympics 2036 as India will have 10 Olympic training centres. According to sources, every centre will have one discipline and 150 athletes will be brought to them. The athletes will be chosen from Khelo India. The Khelo India Youth Games will take place in Bihar from 4th to 15th May with around 10,000 plus athletes taking part. The games will be taking place in different cities across Bihar and it will be have 28 sports in total.

Star India batter Virat Kohli could come out of his T20I retirement, but there is a catch. Kohli announced his retirement from the format after the T20 World Cup final, which India won after beating South Africa in Barbados. However, Kohli has now revealed that he "could come" out retirement for one game in India reach the final of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics men's cricket event. For the unversed, cricket will make its return to Olympics after a gap of 128 years.

Following the submission of a Letter of Intent to host the 2036 Olympics, India will bid to host the Commonwealth Games 2030, according to sources. The Indian government is expected to initiate the bid to host the centenary edition of the Commonwealth Games. The last date to bid for the hosting rights is March 31.

India skipper Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh have been blessed with a baby boy. Multiple social media reports from fans emerged on Friday night, announcing the news. However, according to the sources, the news is now confirmed. Rohit and Ritika are already parents to daughter Samaira, who will be turning six on December 30.
