1 INTRODUCTION Anthrophogenic land use and climate change are major threats to global biodiversity (IPCC, 2021; Newbold, 2018). Considering that both are critical planetary boundaries that humanity is heading for overcoming and that climate change is also a core boundary (Lade et al., 2020), it is an ultimatum for biodiversity conservation actions to start now.
