    VASA Fitness is flexing its muscles again in Colorado Springs. The Utah-based fitness chain has launched a remodeling of a former Gold's Gym at 7655 N. Union Blvd., northeast of Union and Briargate boulevards in the north-side Rampart Village Center, where it's targeting a summer opening for what will be its fourth Springs location. VASA opened its first Colorado Springs fitness center in 2018 in a former Albertsons grocery at 455 E. Cheyenne Mountain Blvd. on the south side.

    The Broadmoor remains on a streak that no other hotel has matched.  The Forbes Travel Guide on Wednesday gave its top score of five stars to the resort on Colorado Springs' southwest side for the 65th consecutive year as part of its 2025 ratings of hotels, restaurants, spas and cruise ships. It's the longest stretch of five-star ratings for any hotel worldwide, which have been given out annually since 1958 by Forbes and its predecessor publications.

    Enhanced mitigation measures designed to tamp down noise at the new Ford Amphitheater, whose debut last summer near Gleneagle generated hundreds of complaints from area residents objecting to what they called unwanted and obtrusive sound from the outdoor concert facility, were announced by Colorado Springs Mayor Yemi Mobolade's office and VENU, the Springs-based entertainment company that developed the amphitheater.
