After its limited theatrical release in New York City and Los Angeles, Dekkoo — the streaming platform for queer content — announced the release of Throuple, the new film from writer, star and queer indie musician Michael Doshier. The film will be available to stream on all major platforms including Amazon, iTunes, InDemand, Google, and Dekkoo on June 6. The film is loosely based on Doshier’s own life.

San Antonio based, award winning author Jonny Garza Villa will release their first adult romance novel, Futbolista this month. The book will be released on Tuesday, April 15. The title follows a string of contemporary young adult novels inspired by Villa’s own Tejane, Chicane and queer identities including their debut novel Fifteen Hundred Miles from the Sun, Ander & Santi Were Here and Canto Contigo, which recently won the Stonewall Book Awardfor young adult literature.

Earlier this year, film historian and autthor Steven Michael Shearer released his latest book about another classic Hollywood star. After titles on Patricia Neal and Hedy Lamarr, he released Gloria Swanson: Hollywood’s First Glamour Queen this past January. The coffee table book is almost 500 pages with more than 400 photos inside. The author is also touring in support of the book at Pride events through December.

Unfolding over the course of Valentine’s Day in New Jersey, a young intersex sex worker must run from the mob after a drug deal goes sideways, forcing him to confront his past. That’s the premise of Ponyboi, the new film release by Fox Entertainment Studios’ new indie label Tideline. The film will premiere on June 27 as part of Pride Month celebrations. The studio debuted the film’s first trailer on Tuesday.
